On October 30, 2019, in its own base in Stara Zagora, PANCHIM Ltd opened a new industrial unit.
The completed project is worth a total of 10 million leva.
The large-scale investment involves the construction of a new production building, as well as the commissioning of a high-end solid sheet extruding line, one of the first in Europe. The same was purchased with funds under Operational program “Innovation and Competitiveness” 2014-2020. The total amount of the investment under the Operational program is 4 823 372 leva, of which 50% or 2 411 686 leva grants and 50% - 2 411 686 leva own co-financing.
The building, the infrastructure and the additional equipment are financed entirely by the own funds of PANHIM Ltd.
The new extrusion line increases the capacity of the company by an additional 7,000 tons, and as a result of it the annual capacity for the production of extruded sheets reaches up to 24,000 tons.
In order to increase the energy efficiency of the company, sustainable ecological development and reduce the negative impact on the environment, as part of the project under the Operational Program, a system for waste heat recovery has been built, and an energy management system according to ISO 50001 has been introduced and certified.
Official guests of the event in Stara Zagora were His Excellency Yoram Elron – Ambassador of Israel, regional Governor Gergana Mikova, provisionally acting Mayor of Stara Zagora Municipality Eng. Yancho Kaloyanov, Chief Architect Victoria Grozeva. The event was also attended by representatives of the management of PLAZIT-POLYGAL GROUP, partners and clients of the company.
As a result of the implementation of the project, PANCHIM Ltd. has become the largest and most significant company in PLASIT-POLYGAL GROUP, while consolidating its position as one of the leading European manufacturers of extruded sheets.
